Splish-Splash...

The hotel that we stayed at while in Lancaster, PA a couple of weeks ago has two great pools. One is smaller with a shallow area and slides for the little kids and the other is just a standard pool.

The only thing Brayden wanted to do while we were there was go swimming. This summer while on vacation in Florida the whole swimming thing kind of clicked for him. He loves going underwater with his goggles on. It is tough to get him out of the pool.

This year Brayden was tall enough to go on the BIG slide. He was excited at first to give it a try. Sarah went up with him for the first time.

Unfortunately, when he got up there it seemed a little to big for him, so down he came.

After some encouragement from Daddy, Mommy and even the lifeguard, Brayden decided to try walking up to it again.

Yay! He made it with Daddy waiting there to catch him.

The kids really enjoyed their time at the pool with our friends the Smith's. After our evening meetings they kept the pool open until midnight for our group, so it was even more of a treat to stay up late and go swimming.

We Got the Beats...

 , White, large

Jason has been wanting a pair of Beats for a while now and finally found a pair on eBay at a great price, so he made the purchase. It is funny how things can go in and out of style. These big and bold headphones are now what you should have to listen to music. The sound quality is supposed to be amazing. I have tried them out and have to say they are pretty nice.

On a trip we took to Lancaster, PA, Jason let Sarah use the precious "Beats" to listen to her music. She was in love! She initially wanted them for Christmas but when learning how expensive they were she changed her mind, there are other things she wants even more.

Brayden of course wanted a turn. With a little reluctance Jason let him use them, explaining he needed to be careful with them. Brayden of course loved them too. They completely cover his little ears. He told Jason "I need the Beats!".

Every now and then they may get the pleasuring of saying "I got the Beats!"

A Perfect Heart...

In October at Brayden's 6 year checkup his pediatrician thought she heard a murmur in his heart. She wasn't overly concerned and did not place any restrictions on him, but wanted Brayden to see a cardiologist just to check it out.

On Thursday we had the appointment with the cardiologist. They did both an EKG and ultrasound of his heart. Praise the Lord everything is normal. He does have a murmur, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with his heart. No holes and no abnormalities. We don't have to go back and see them again.

His heart is perfect in its own way.

Fall...

I love the colors of fall.

The colors slowly change...

until they are bursting with reds, oranges and yellows.

Not quite how I envisioned this shot, but sometimes you have to work with what you got and I am so glad I got this boy.

Trunk or Treat...

On Halloween our church hosted Trunk or Treat at three of our campuses - Washington Township, Wanaque and Parsippany.

Jason, the kids and I were at the Parsippany campus for the evening. I went with a Spider-Man trunk considering I had my very own Spider-Man for the day.

FaFa had his Harley-Davidson car right next to ours so Sarah helped him too.

Jason, who helped Pastor Russ oversee the Parsippany campus, threw his car into the mix at the last minute just to add another one. All he had was golf stuff in his trunk, so we made the best of it. The kids didn't care, they just wanted candy.

We got a sprinkling of rain right at the beginning and then at the very end. Overall it was a great night and not to chilly. We had approximately 300 people come through. They were able to get candy, as well as go into the church and see the building. The kids could sit and watch a movie in the sanctuary and the parents could walk downstairs to get hot chocolate or coffee. Just another opportunity to open our doors to the community to get to know us.
