On October 9th we celebrated Brayden's 7th birthday with a small family party.
|
Pretty much able to read his cards this year on his own. |
The James family went in together on Brayden's gift this year. We called Christy and the kids to FaceTime so they could watch him open his gifts.

PaPa and MeMe sent some things that Brayden was wishing for including a Rubiks cube and Spider-Man hoodie that he has been wanting for awhile.
He also got fleece Denver Bronco pants from us and money from aunts and uncles.
After opening the gifts he wanted to go and try out his new skateboard. Ever since he learned how to ride his bike without the training wheels he has also been working on skateboarding. Sarah had a skateboard that she got for one of her birthdays a few years ago but it was a bit girlie for him, so he asked for a cool superhero board.
When I asked him what kind of cake he wanted a couple of weeks ago, he said a skateboard cake. I attempted to make one and this was my best attempt.
Our birthday present to him this year is taking him to Legoland in Orlando, a BIG wish that he has had for several years. Of course Sarah gets to enjoy his birthday gift as well. More to come on that adventure.
