A Taste of the Kingdom...

On Sunday, after a goodnight's rest, Jason went golfing and the kids and I went to ride the Disney World Monorail.

On the Monorail we made stops at The Grand Floridian hotel, the gates of the Magic Kingdom, Contemporary Resort and the Polynesian Resort. We were excited just to be there.
She's finally made friends with the Cheshire Cat.
Time to play
Basin @ The Grand Floridian. Sarah fell in love with this bath store.

That evening we headed to Downton Disney for shopping and Ghirardelli ice cream. Oh my!

The long awaited Legoland is up next.

Family Road Trip...

We decided to celebrate Brayden's 7th birthday by taking a week vacation to Florida to visit Legoland and Disney World.

It was a road trip for us this time instead of flying. We left New Jersey Friday night October 31st and drove 4 hours to Springfield, Virginia. It was a late night and everyone was tired.

After a good nights sleep and breakfast we were ready to hit the road again.

We had to make a Cracker Barrel stop at some point on the trip.  Biscuits and apple butter, so good.
Figuring out the peg game.
Sweet, Sweet Tea
Simply a "Genius"
Giving thanks for our time away together.

It was a long day 14 hour day drive, but no complaints from this crew. We were all to excited.
Just what we were waiting to see!

An Adventure In Wonderland...

Last year in Sarah's school play she made her way to Neverland as Wendy in Peter Pan Jr. This year she will be on an Adventure to Wonderland with Alice.

A Tweedle she will be, Tweedledum to be exact. She is so excited to share the Tweedledee and Tweedledum role with her friend Ethy who was Tinkerbell last year.

The play is in April and we can't wait to fall through the looking glass to meet the White Rabbit, Cheshire Cat, Mad Hatter, Tweedles and the Queen of Hearts.

Brayden turns 7...

On October 9th we celebrated Brayden's 7th birthday with a small family party.
Pretty much able to read his cards this year on his own.

The James family went in together on Brayden's gift this year. We called Christy and the kids to FaceTime so they could watch him open his gifts.
Saying "Hi" to Caleb
What is in this HUGE box from all of the James family?
Super Hero Flash skateboard, helmet and pads
Showing us a trick!
Stephen giving skateboarding a try.

PaPa and MeMe sent some things that Brayden was wishing for including a Rubiks cube and Spider-Man hoodie that he has been wanting for awhile.

He also got fleece Denver Bronco pants from us and money from aunts and uncles.

After opening the gifts he wanted to go and try out his new skateboard. Ever since he learned how to ride his bike without the training wheels he has also been working on skateboarding. Sarah had a skateboard that she got for one of her birthdays a few years ago but it was a bit girlie for him, so he asked for a cool superhero board.

When I asked him what kind of cake he wanted a couple of weeks ago, he said a skateboard cake. I attempted to make one and this was my best attempt.

Our birthday present to him this year is taking him to Legoland in Orlando, a BIG wish that he has had for several years. Of course Sarah gets to enjoy his birthday gift as well. More to come on that adventure.

Brayden - This & That...

We are working on learning to ride his bike safely in the street.
Following in Daddy's footsteps with a love for baseball cards, real and virtual.
Levi and Brayden playing "Lifeguard" in the pool.
He won a Dunkin' Donuts gift card from his trip to the dentist.
Chilling at Target while Mommy shops.
A love that smile!
When he feels sick he likes to lay on the bathroom floor and sleep. : (
This kid was a trooper shopping all day with mommy and big sister. Love him!
