071 - 077 #amyj365

071 | 365 Being taught by God tonight at BCWQ with Beth Moore as the vessel.

072 | 365 I'm melting! Melting!
Sorry snow, can't say I'm sad to see you go.

073 | 365 Had a blast hanging out with this crew tonight. We love this family!!!

074 | 365 These shades of blue captured my full attention this morning out my back door.
I can't help but be in awe of this beauty and the ONE who created it.
Some mornings I miss it in the hustle and bustle and move on with my day with no regard,
BUT today is a new day and the heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the word of his hands (Ps 19:1) and so shall I.
So shall I.

075 | 365 Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter.
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here.
Here comes the sun, doo doo doo doo.
Here comes the sun, and I say it's all right.

076 | 365 Getting my green on this morning. Not Irish, but going with it.

077 | 365 I love coming here to our midweek classes.
We are one church with 4 locations, but this place is where it all started.

064 - 070 #amyj365

064 | 365 Snow day, no school, wearing his favorite t-shirt, fruit loops for breakfast and cartoons.
His morning got off to an epic start!

065 | 365 Humbled today by His love for me.
Who am I, Sovereign Lord, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?
2 Samuel 2:18

066 | 365 What a great night at the NJ Teen Challenge Banquet!
We listened and celebrated to how God is taking the lives of addicts
and redeeming them in amazing ways.

066-2 | 365 The Lord has given this guy the vision, talents and heart to direct NJ Teen Challenge.
Todd, Samantha and Evie have become a part of our family.
I love when God brings people like them into our lives to walk with.
We are excited to see how God continues to use them.

067 | 365 Love being at Bethany Wanaque and hearing Jay preach about the true meaning of "church".

068 | 365 A much needed day of doing absolutely nothing together.

069 | 365 I love dinner out and enjoying it with new friends.

070 | 365 Was pretty much in front of this all day. Emails. Sending and receiving.

Winter...

If I have to describe our winter this year in one word it would be COLD. I didn't mind the snow so much, we always enjoy a snow day with the kids when they get to stay home from school, but I did mind how cold it was. We had a lot of days with the temperature in the teens, which I can't remember having in the past number of winters. Thankfully we are on the other side of winter and focused on spring and warmer days.

In my 365 photo challenge this year I am learning to become more aware of my surroundings in both the big and small things. Some days are easier to stop then others, but it is becoming a great practice. What catches my eye? What represents my day? What makes me smile? What makes me stop and ponder? These are just a few those things, but ones that didn't make it to my post for the day.

I can't resist taking a picture of his smile.
My Hero! He did a lot of shoveling this winter.
The beauty out our back door has me looking every night to see what the skies will show.

Basketball & Brayden

This winter Brayden was a part of our town co-ed basketball league for 1st graders. Every Saturday morning in January and February we headed to the Wanaque School gym from 9:00-10:15 a.m. for him to play. They taught the kids a lot of the basic fundamentals of basketball - shooting, dribbling, passing, guarding. Towards the end of February they started playing a few short games against each other.

Each morning they started with warmups.
Then they broke into different groups and worked on skills.

Each year the program has an All-Star Game day, which includes the 1st graders. They get to run out on the court when their name was called, and play a real game for 20 minutes. Each one got a special medal at the end.
#3 Brayden James!
Singing the Star Spangled Banner
Coach Tina picking who will play first. Brayden is #3
Johnny, one of Brayden's best friends, has his hand on  his back.
Would love to know what he was telling him.

This jersey was huge on our little guy! It seems like he always gets the stretched out one,
it was a bit distracting for him.

They substituted kids at different stages so everyone got playing time. I think in the next couple of pictures Johnny is trying to coach Brayden and Sydney during their time on the bench. Johnny's Dad is a PE teacher, so I think I know where Johnny gets it from. He is a good friend. Although Brayden seems a little obviously to his instructions.
He's got the ball.
He drops the ball.
He tries to get the ball back.
He save the ball.
Turns to shoot...and doesn't quite make it.
Ready to receive a pass.

After the game was over he got to hang out for a bit with some of his buddies on the team including Johnny.
Our little B-ball player.
Johnny, Makyla and Brayden celebrating their game with a treat.
