On Friday morning we said goodbye to my family. We had such a great week with them. My parents have made Quiet Rest their special place in the mountains and the kids and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I know I will see my parents in December, but not sure when I will see Michelle and the girls again which is hard. I am so thankful for the times we have with them. Grace and Claire are growing up to be such beautiful young ladies both in their own way. Sarah was blessed by her time with them. I am sure Brayden was too, but he just doesn't realize it. He's a boy and is 6.
I loved the time with my sister. Just being together in person, catching up on life and all that is going on with us and our families. She is pretty amazing herself with all that she does. I hope it won't be another year until we are together again.
Our next stop on our summer vacation was 6 hours away to Rocky Mount, North Carolina where we would spend the night prior to driving another 3 hours to Corolla, North Carolina.
I started reading the Hunger Games series when Sarah did late last year, but hadn't gotten to the third and final book "Mockingjay". I thought it would be a great idea to get it on CD and listen to it in the car on my drive from New Jersey to North Carolina to make the hours go by a little quicker. I was able to finish it just prior to arriving in Corolla. Loved it! We can't wait for the movie in November.
Once we got settled in to our hotel in Rocky Mount we had dinner and made a trip to Target for a few things. We found a Krispy Kreme on our way with the HOT sign on and had to stop. It is not every day that you get a HOT Krispy Kreme.
