001 - 007 #amyj365

One of the photography blogs that I read (www.clickitupanotch.com) talked about a 365 photography project, which I had never heard of. The more I read about it the more I was inspired to start one for 2015. I really enjoy using my camera and taking pictures of our family, but for the most part I was only picking up my camera when we had an "event". I want to record our day to day lives and not just the big events of our lives. I also want to improve my photography skills and that means using my camera more often. I think these are were two good reasons for me to start this 365 project.

I started on January 1st and am posting my pictures every day on Instagram (#amyj365). I was a little nervous about posting a picture every day. Would I stick with it? Would I have the time? What day to day things would inspire a picture? It is all a challenge and I am loving it so far after a month and a half of working on it.

I'll post my weeks here, so those who aren't Instagram can follow along.

001 | 365 A new year...seeking His kingdom

002 | 365 Celebrating tonight.
So they are no longer two, but one flesh.
Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.
(Matthew 19:6)

003 | 365 It was a pancake kind of morning at our house.

004 | 365 Feeling pretty crummy the last two days,
so these things have been keeping me company while I rest.

005 | 365 Lunch date with my man.
My choice, no complaints from him.
Burgers, fries and one drink two straws.

006 | 365 I needed to buy some pretty flowers
on this 16 degree snow falling day
to remind me that this season won't last forever.
Spring will be here soon enough.

007 | 365 Kids back to school.
Christmas decorations put away.
Working on getting the house back together, organized and cleaned.
No fun, but has to be done.
