Back in September when I told Brayden that he would be starting musical practice he said he didn't want to be a part of it. When Sarah heard his response she was shocked!!! "What? Why wouldn't you want to be a part of the musical? It's so much fun." Sarah always loved the musical, the singing and drama, listening to her CD over and over again to make sure she knew every song and dreaming of the Sunday they would perform.
I can't say that Brayden shares in his sister's enthusiasm about the musical. Here are some of his thoughts on the musical that he has shared with us..
"Do I have to?"
"What's the point?"
"It's boring"
"We sing like 29 songs."
However, being the wonderful parents we are we told him that he needed to be a part of it this year since he had never done it before.
Finally the night of the performance arrived.
Right before they were ready to begin Krista, who is in charge of the musical, asked the kids if they were ready. Brayden said, "I'm not. I have to wiggle this loose tooth for a little bit." Anything to delay the inevitable.
I was anxious to see if he would sing or not. He never wanted to practice by listening to the songs, so I wasn't sure if he would know the lines to sing. On the first song I was pleasantly surprised to see him sing. A wave of relief came over me. At least he knew one of the songs, which was good enough for me.
Towards the end of the musical he was really into singing the song "Christmas Intelligent Kids". He was so cute, so intense and almost looked angry singing it. I couldn't help but keep snapping pictures of his facial expressions. He may look like he is yawning, but really he is singing.

Trinity had a lead acting role and did such a great job. |
Ella had a solo part. What a sweetie! |
When it was all over Pastor Gwain thanked Krista and Ashley for leading the kids.
Brayden was thrilled that it was over. Can you tell?
We are all proud of our little bear for his effort.
FaFa always writes a note to the kids after the musical thanking them for a job well done. Sarah and Brayden get a little extra special note.
