She Tea...

We had our 3rd She Tea this past November and this year I got to help plan and organize the event. Donna, my mother-in-law, was going to be gone for the month of November and one of the ladies who helped organize it the past 2 years had to step away, so I was asked to help out. I forgot how much I enjoy working on and organizing these kinds of events.

It was a great night with almost 300 ladies in attendance. We had 30 hostesses who set up their individual tables of 10 with china and any decorations they wanted. Each hostess, as well as the ladies who sat at their tables brought "tea" snacks to share for the evening.

It was wonderful seeing all 4 of our campuses come together, as well as visitors who were invited by ladies from our church. Our theme was "Friendship". We showed a video clip from Donna greeting all the ladies in her absence, as well as a cute video of 100 year old ladies who have been best friends for 94 years. The ladies spent time fellowshipping at their tables and then we had 4 sets of friends play "The Girlfriend Game", much like The Newlywed Game, but only with girlfriends. My friend Lisa Shafer, who makes me laugh at her quick wit, hosted the game show. Everyone laughed and enjoyed it. Lisa closed out the evening with talking about friendship.

I was thankful to be a part of organizing the evening for our ladies. All of them seemed to really enjoy themselves.

Below are a few of the pictures I was got from my girlfriends iPhone and mine. I didn't have much time that evening to take pictures, but next time I am making a point of it, there were to many pretty tables and ladies not to.
Me opening up the night. A bit nervous, but made it through.
