This year we were on our own for Thanksgiving. The rest of the James family was going to be out of town, so we had to decide what our plans would be.
We decided to get together with our friends the Sheehans and Darringtons since they weren't going to have any family to spend the day with either. We spent the day at Don and Donna's house. We enjoyed sharing the day with our friends.

I took on the job of making the turkey, as well as the stuffing, gravy, the sweet potato casserole I make every year and fresh cranberry sauce. I turned to Pioneer Woman to help me with the turkey. It was a family effort with Sarah helping me with the brine for the turkey and the stuffing and Jason helping me to truss the turkey.

It was delicious. |

It looks AMAZING! |
Our friends contributed a salad, mashed potatoes, rolls and dessert. Once the turkey was done it was quite busy getting everything else done and ready to be served. In the midst of it all I didn't get to take any other pictures of our table or food.
Sarah and Brayden had fun with the little ones during the day, as well as each other.
